Dr Hale,

Thank you for your input.  I should have made it clear in my original post
that the OB's/family practitioners in this area (Newport, RI) are not easy
to convince when it comes to prescribing anything to a breastfeeding
mother.  Most tend to believe that there are very few prescription drugs
that are safe to nurse with.  The family practioners at the Navy hospital
have been known to tell women to stop nursing when taking something as safe
as erythromycin.

We use your book as a reference all the time and are constantly copying
pages and faxing them to the OB's/family practioners.  Unfortunately, they
need to have a number of different sources before they can be convinced.
