Homebound might actually be ideal for this new mom, but not for the
reasons the school is listing. At least in NY, homebound education means
a teacher shows up for an hour or two a day. It would allow her to spend
less time away from her baby and still continue her education, and if
she is bright and interested, the teacher will likely respond to that
motivation, and she might get a higher quality education than being in
school would provide.

The social life of HS is somewhat overrated, in my very humble opinion.
As long as mom can continue to see her close friends and maintain a
support system, she might be better off away from the rivalries and
insecurities while she learns to be a mother!
