I think I have mentioned this before on Lactnet, but we hardly ever 
see bf babies with blood in the stools in the UK, and I hope my 
fellow UK lactnet people will back me up.

It's not unknown, but it is very rare. At most, I hear from one 
person a year, directly *and* indirectly. And that is hundreds of 
mothers. It hardly ever comes up on our UK email lists and forums.

What happens in other countries? Is this a US  problem? In which 
case, is it something that results from birth or postnatal care 
practices in the US?
