I have a client that has a thick dry crust on the areolar of both breasts.
The nipples are fine and the baby latches and nurses without problem. It
looks alot like eczema but does not weep or itch. I have never seen anything
like this. She states that it formed at the start of her pregnancy and that
she hasn't used anything other than water on her breasts and did not try to
"toughen" them. She can rub the crust and it will come off but the skin
beneath it is very tender. What is this?
TIA,
