Hi All,
Tom Hale says that Tagamet is AAP approved, so who is telling mom she can't
take the Tagamet? Also, looking at the info on Zantac, it looks to me (and I
am no expert) that although it has not been reviewed, since they do use it
for pediatrics, that it would probably be OK with BF, but you might want to
get a clearer bit of info on that one from Tom.

I firmly believe that EVERY Dr and pharmacist should have an updated copy of
Tom Hale's Medications and Mothers Milk in their offices, and that all BF
moms should request that their Drs look up any meds in the book before saying
"Absolutely NO BF with this med". Maybe then BF would stop being sacrificed
on so many alters of ignorance, HMMMM???

Who was precribed a decongestant and amoxicillan OVER THE PHONE with NO Dr
Visit for a stuffed up ear (which might be infected, but might not be, but
they didn't want to take 5 minutes to look at it) and they never let me tell
them that I was pregnant and due any day and would be BF!!!! Negligence,
malpractice, anyone?
