My suggestion would be to ignore the ignorant remarks.  I have observed
that this sort of juvenile reaction seems to be Step One for many people
to begin to learn about breastfeeding.  I'm sure these people think they
are very witty and clever, but what they do not realize is that they
have made themselves look just plain stupid and immature.

I am assuming the lactation room will be available to employees without
the need for permission of the ignorant higher ups?   Why should
permission be needed- employees usually use these rooms on breaks and
lunchtimes, right?  Fill the room with educational material, take your
three week well-earned vacation, and let it go.

The best response these... err... dummies can get will be for the
culture of your facility to become more breastfeeding savvy, thanks to
the increasing numbers of employees who will be supported to continue to
breastfeed.
