Hi Marianne,
Interesting questions. Have you tried to contact Anthropologist  Kathy Dettwyler? "Amount of time spent crying" is not her area of expertise, but she might be able to  point you in the right direction.  She used to be on Lactnet; maybe someone can contact her who might know her. She also has  a website that I believe has a contact link.

I watched the Netherlands win yesterday. I'm hoping for a Netherlands/Germany final.  This has been a great World Cup, hasn't it? (Well, except that the US got eliminated, and my husbands country was cheated out of making it in! )

If you need me to read anything, I have an Anthropology degree (I think I told you that earlier). Maybe if you dole out the reading to willing Lactnetters, we can help you decrease your workload. As LLL always says, "Mother-sized jobs!
