(Coming back onto Lactnet after several months - I have missed you!)

This article about IQ and breastfeeding has caused flurries on the
talk boards here in the UK and in the press.

The *statistician* who did the research (emphasied because, poor guy,
he knew a Big Fat Zero about breastfeeding) was interviewed on the
BBC and gave one of the most useless interviews ever. He thought
breastfeeding choices were down to 'fashion' for instance and did not
know how many women in the UK breastfed. It is not at all surprising
it never occured to him and his team to think that 'how much'
breastfeeding is an important question.
