There were multiple female physicians/ residents who said they did or will do an
elective (no medical reason) c/s so as not to damage their perineums!

It also upsets me-- they are comparing vaginal births that were induced and or
augmented with IV fluids laying on the back for monitoring AROM and then
pushing in a semireclining position thus requiring large episiotomies

Last years LC conference about birthing practices and breastfeeding was
amazing-especially the "Birth in the squatting position" video that should be
required viewing in medical (and nursing)school!

By the way, there's a special room in the "Human body" reproduction area of the
Boston science museum where one can watch a video of a Home Birth, a Hospital
vag. birth and a cesarean!
