No, Susan is not way off the mark below and she should print this off
his website in case it disappears quickly. Kate did not go on the air
for the purpose purported on Dr. Phil’s website

Susan quotes:

Excuse me if I am way off the mark here, but, I was never under the
impression that you (Kate) went on his show for his help on how to stop
giving in to your children to nurse. Here's how it appears on his
website:
http://www.drphil.com/show/show.jhtml?contentId=1063_getkidto.xml

Kate still breastfeeds her 5-and 7-year-old daughters. She came on the
show to ask Dr. Phil how to stop giving in when her children ask to
nurse. Read what Dr. Phil has to say.

Did she really come on the show for help or to help out? Kate should
write NBC to complain and send off a printed copy of Dr. Phil’s website
as it appears in the URL Susan sent us above.

I think there is basis for a malicious charge here, plus libel lawsuit
if you wished to take it that far.

Dr. Phil (through his producers) lured Kate to be on his program to show
another cultural aspect of breastfeeding. Did he ever ask if you, Kate,
wanted his help with this issue or if you considered it a problem in
your family? Of course not!

You went to educate the public. What Dr. Phil did on his own show and
on Jay Leno’s show is not very different than the adversarial
relationships on Jenny Jones or Jerry Springer, only it is between the
host and guest. It is all for sensationalism and they don’t care who
gets hurt through derision. And this is done on national TV every day.
