Hi everyone!
I sent a rather long note last night, but it got returned
since I made a mistake with the lacnet address.
I looked into Sanvita 2 years ago, and I decided not to do
it because it is very expensive for the companies. I just
can't see a company paying almost $100 a month to rent a
pump for an employee.
We do charge a deposit for anyone who rents a pump. If
they can't afford the $20, I have them write a separate
check which we hold without cashing. We also charge a
cleaning fee if a pump is returned excessively dirty. Like
most people, I learned the hard way. I once had a pump
returned which I scrubbed for a good 15 minutes. The worst
part was that I have no idea what was on it. It had brown
sticky stuff all over it...yuck!
We also do charge a late fee. After 4 years of rentals, I
finally figured that that was the only way that we would get
paid in a timely fashion. We tried coupon books, billing,
and finally late fees, and the latter seemed to do the
trick. Now we are almost always paid promptly. (We do
still send monthly bills.)
As for BLIS...yes I have seen it, and I wouldn't put those
things near my breast if they PAID me! The look like little
torture chambers. I am sure that they must have been
designed by some man...a misogynist, no doubt.
As far as the Depo Provera case...doesn't their literature
say that the injection should not be given until 6 weeks
post-partum?
Could someone share their experience with me on having a
sub-station? I have someone who is interested in doing
this, and I have contacted Medela about it. They didn't
have much to say, and since I noticed some of you discussing
this issue, I was just wondering if you could share your
experience with me?
Well, hopefully I got the address right this time, and I
won't be getting it thrown back into my own mailbox. Hope
to hear from all of you soon!
