And so she should be! Personally, I would never believe I had the right to
take such a risk. That said:

<<She's already planning to bring boiled water, organic american-grown baby

food, and to return for her baby's nine and twelve month doc appointments

with a pediatrician worthy of her trust.>>

She's bringing boiled water???? How will she do that for such a long time?

<<But she's nervous. She says the people who live there can't really talk to

her about risks - they're all living in denial.>>

No doubt.

There are natural things such as homeopathic remedies, herbs and supplements
which can help the body to remove toxins, but only the homeopathic remedies
would probably be safe to use, since the other herbs would move the toxins
out of the cells of organs, etc into the bloodstream and hence into her milk.
I cannot think of a safe way to do this b/c of bf. And even though she can
bring baby food, what will she eat?
When my dh and ds went to China (very polluted, including heavy metals),
I sent them with many things for detox, water purification, immune support,
etc, but that was only 2 weeks and neither was bf or an infant.
I can't see how she can keep them all safe! We can't live in fear, but
this risk just seems to be too big to get around.
