I must say that I have been amazed by the attitude displayed by 'Victorias secret' and others to breastfeeding. I am English but now live in the USA. When my three children were babies I fed them openly anywhere and anytime they wanted - and my youngest child is 20!
My father in law was very prudish by nature but was shocked when I offered to go to the bedroom to feed my eldest daughter. He told me that the babies needs were more important than anything and that if people were offended by the beautiful sight of a child being breastfed then they had a problem and needed treatment!
I was grateful to him for those words and have never forgotten them.
Obviously some women are too shy to expose their breasts and there are many ways to avoid that - but really people - breasts are for feeding babies - thats why we have them!
