They thought is was a virus, but when it didn't resolve, Doctor had 

> mom stop breastfeeding (this was last Wed).  By the weekend, baby had 

> no more symptoms and started eating solids again.  

 

Since this baby had been nursing without any problems for a long time, it
would make more sense to stop the SOLIDS and keep breastfeeding.  (another
example of that knee-jerk "must be breastfeeding that's causing the problem"
reaction we still see way too often)  

 

Could there have been a link to something new in the baby's diet?

 

According to Hale, Zoloft is an L2, with very little transfer to infants.
