In The Netherlands no-one bothers about the low bili levels and a slightly
jaundiced baby. The person taking care of mom and baby for the first 8 days
(a professional trained caretaker, not a nurse) will put baby's crib near
the window for some direct daylight and (if she is well educated) advise mom
to feed as often as she can. (If she is not that well educated she will
advise mom to feed extra wate to flush the yellowness out :-/ )
Only if the yellow colour hets worse (whole body and/or more intense) or will
stay for longer that a couple of days a doctor is called in.

Warmly greeting,

Gonneke
