Is there any substance to the thought that a large (10'3") newborn will
need supplimentation until mother's milk comes in? Mom had average
labor/epidural at 5cm, FTP at 9 cm resulting in a cesarean. Staff insisted
baby receive formula after BFing until mom's milk came in. Baby had no wet
diapers in the first 12 hours. Mom only nursed once in the first 8 hours
after birth. It is now day 4, milk beginning to come in, baby has good latch,
good positioning at breast by mom, great sucker! Mom has nursed q 2 1/2 hours
for the past two days. Anything to beware of? Mom is a nervous 35 year old
first timer who REALLY wants to BF and finds the experience "wonderful"
