I would disagree with this. Bottlefeeding does not help the mother continue 
the breastfeeding relationship, and maintain her milk supply, even if it is 
paced, respectful bottlefeeding. It is hand-expressing or pumping her milk 
that allows her to maintain her milk production despite separation. 
Bottlefeeding is ONE way to give the baby human milk during the time they 
are separated.

While I definitely see value in using a paced approach to feed a baby with a 
bottle, do we have clear evidence that this promotes longer breastfeeding? 
The research may be out there and I just haven't seen it. If we do have that 
evidence, what other methods of providing milk to babies was this compared 
to?
