If mom won't try gentian violet I prefer to treat baby with diflucan and mom 
with APNO.  Usually works just fine.  Caution:  babies under 1 mo get a 
smaller dose.  I find using nystatin draws the whole torture out and makes 
the *@%#* thrush resistant.  I prefer to treat it adequately in the first 
place.  Hardly ever have to resort to Diflucan for mom too.  Pat in 
SNJ -Atlantic City - the capital of fungus in the summer!
