Trying to assess what galactogogues advance practice nurses are prescribing. If you do, can you please answer the following:

1. Do you prescribe domperidone or reglan as a galactogogue? I have, yes.
2. Who writes the prescription, the NP or an MD? The Nurse Midwife.
3. Do you recommend domperidone and if so, do you have a protocol for use? I have and yes, we have a very detailed protocol.
4. If the NP writes for domperidone, is it within their scope as determined by Board of Nursing for their state? Nurse Midwives in the state of Indiana require a written collaboration for prescription privileges. The CNM must then provide a random 7% sampling of her scripts within seven days of physician request.
