Joyce, tell your husband that the Bobo people of Mali make a lovely puppy
stew for special occasions.  They often travel around to the villages of the
other ethnic groups where people don't eat dogs, and buy up all the spare
puppies.  They tie them in a string, and the puppies trot along after their
new owner, unsuspecting.  I've never been offered puppy stew, but the Bobo
claim it is quite delicious.
