I was watching JAG with my family tonight. It's a military show, and two of
the main characters married and just had a baby. I've been very pleased to
see that the military mom has been nursing her baby, and that breastfeeding
has been prominently and nicely portrayed.

Tonight, a colleague discovered that the new dad was not getting any bedroom
action because mom was "nursing the baby at night", and it was implied that
this was exhausting her and killing their romance. Quoth dad: "I hear it
only lasts..... a few years..... <gulp>" Colleague makes a surreptitious
call to mom.......

Closing scene: mom calls the dad, who was TDY, and starts sweet talking him.
The camera shows her sitting in bed, baby on a pillow in her lap, and she is
feeding him a *bottle* and laughing giddily as she talks to dad, trying to
rekindle some romance.

Grrr........ sure looked to me like they "solved" the problem by her giving
a bottle so that she could get more rest and be available for romance? I
have no other ideas as to why the bottle suddenly appears, when
breastfeeding has been portrayed excusively up to this point. I'm
disappointed.
