*****Welcome to the FundSource Headlines*****

  Dear Lactnet readers

I received a call from a breastfeeding mother this evening worried that her milk wasnt good enough for her baby

Her baby is now 9 wks old - was sleeping from10pm at night until around 6 in the morning. the last 2 nights he has woken for feeding around 3-30am Did go back to sleep, but through the days is feeding every 1-11/2 hrs and hasnt slept well through the day (15mins) and 45mins)

Mothers breast are fuller in the morning than in the evening.
Mum gave the baby 100 mls formula feed yesterday and he still wasnt satisfied.

He has lots of wet and dirty nappies.
Does this sound like growth spurt feeding?

I have suggested to Mum that she makes herself (Tigers Milk) milkshakes to increase her calorie count.

  sincerely
