I worked in maternity in an osteopathic hospital and can report that the
DOs were just as technologically driven as any MD. While an order would be
written for manipulation of the lumber-sacral spine, I never saw it done.

Osteopaths take 4 years of training after college, just as MDs. Our family
doctor was a DO. In the Philadelphia region, there seems to be no
distinction between these two types of doctors.
