It is not the pink hair - it is the confident breastfeeding of children who don't all look 10 seconds old.  Nobody is trying to hide Shelley Fabares' pink hair as she carries out her public speaking and advocacy for families dealing with Alzheimer's disease.  Change the soapbox and pink hair doesn't matter so much.
