Dear Fiona

I have one study on cabergoline :
Single dose cabergoline versus bromocriptine in inhibition of puerperal
lactation : radomises, double blind, multicentre study. BMJ, vol 302, 1991,
1367-71.
Conclusion : a single 1 mg dose of cabergoline is at least as effective as
bromocriptine 2,5 mg twice daily for 14 days in preventing puerperal
lactation. Because of the considerably lower rate of rebound breast activity
and adverse events and the simpler administration shedule, cabergoline
should be the drug of choise for lactation inhibition.

There is another one study, but I don't have it in my doc :
Cabergoline : a review of its pharmacological properties and therapeutics
potential in the treatment of hyperprolactinaemia and inhibition of
lactation. CP Rains, HM Bryson, A Fitton. Drugs 1995 ; 49 : 255-79.

Hope this help
Kindly
