We have used breastmilk mixed with toddler formula (in the kangaroo pump) for 
our 4 year old daughter with severe weight gain issues for the past 2 1/2 
years with no problems. When we use fresh breastmilk alone we leave it for the 
full 8 hour night drip without rinsing and reusing the bag. Hope that helps a
