I think it is important to remember that differetn babies respond to the
same stimulus in varied ways.  My experience with broken clavicles has been
more in the direction of continued fussiness and refusal to bf on the side
where pressure on the broken bone was greatest, but these babies also were
very vigorous nursers, not the ones inclined toward more gourmet eating
styles.

Some babies post circ shut down; others are fussy to the point of being
inconsolable.  Why not similar kinds of ranges of responses to other
reasons for pain?
