All this talk about tadem breastfeeding and weird feeling toward the
breastfeeding toddler reminds me of when I was pregnant with Samantha (now
20mo) and still breastfeeding Lorin (now almost 6yo, then 3.5yo).  Lorin
was very close to self weaning, he did completely wean during my first
trimester, I started feeling like what I think mother animals feel toward
their older nurslings.  Besides Lorin's breastfeeding being physically
uncomfortable I had this feeling of wanting him to hurry up and  be done
already.

This sound familar to anyone else?
