Chris,
You describe the mom's nipples as having deep fissures with yellow/white
stuff in them. If this hasn't responded to normal logical measures, perhaps a
dermatologist is in order. Have you referred your mom to such yet? (Please
tell me that's not one of the MDs who threw it back in your lap!)  In the
meantime, good for you for continuing to pursue this; mom needs an advocate.
What an exasperating situation!
