hi everybody!
I have a little update on the 5-month-old vomiting(everything)... They are
still not sure what kind of underlying digestive problem exists, but the baby
had apparantly(later) developed a retrovirus. Since treating this, the baby is
improving. She is home from the hospital and nursing but (for some reason
which is unclear to me!) is also getting some soy formula. They do not seem to
think that there is an allergy to soy. It doesn't seem to me that mom has
contacted a LC! I will let you all know when there is some more info.
Also, regarding the "saggy breast" issue, I must admit that my breasts DID get
droopier after I stopped nursing- but what mother could ever trade all the
beauty and benefits of nursing just for a pair of perky breasts! I don't
understand how this could even be an issue! I'll take my breasts a little
saggier, thank you -and of course I'll nurse the next one!(I am also aware that
this doesn't happen to everyone)
Regarding tinctures,as an herbalist I can say that in general they work
quickly and effectively. Correct dosages of certain herbs are very important-
for example, poke root tincture is very effective for stubborn breast
infections but must be used in tiny doses because it is so potent...
