If this mom has a marginal milk supply, it makes sense that baby could
become unhappy at 3 weeks postpartum.  Infant milk needs increase
rapidly over the first 6 weeks postpartum, so a mom with a small factory
may be able to supply enough milk during week one and two and then fall
short later.

There is some evidence that continuing to stimulate prolactin levels may
increase the amount of glandular tissue in the breast in women with
hypoplasia.  Pumping is a good idea, along with frequent feeding,
bdomperidone might work if it's medically appropriate for her, perhaps
goats rue (which Lisa Marasco finds may be helpful in such cases).
