i found no clear cut info on this in any of my resources or in the lactnet
archives: mom with nursing 2 year old - mom has impetigo covering both
breasts/nipples/entie chest. very painful - on antibiotics, told not to
nurse, b/c very contagious. i see references in the archives to latching
and impetigo on nipples, so am now wondering if this info is erroneous?
mom in a lot of pain, difficulty pumping, engorged and worried. how is
impetigo spread? if it is staph, how does it differ, if at all, from
staph-infected nipples that are treated while nursing continues .. .any
guidance helpful - thanks.
