I was given ( or it came in the mail) a video entitled "New
Findings--about breastfeeding" or something to that effect.
I had not had time to preview it, but the other day,
happened to take a look at it and it was from Martek-- video
jacket stated that they had found that DHA was actually
"lacking" in breastmilk-- something about our diet nowadays
was not supplying adequate levels. We should all be taking
DHA supplements, and this video was going to tell health
care providers why they should recommend breastfeeding
mothers go out and buy their DHA supplements-- so they
wouldn't be denying a necessary substance to their babies
through their somehow *inadequate* DHA deficient
breastmilk!! Sorry if this is vague, but the video is
sitting in my office, and I didn't pay much attention to it
at the time. Has anyone else recieved such a video? I'll
have to watch it and let you know what their strange slant
on this DHA thing is-- sounds like yet another way to make
women feel that they must switch to bottle-- "my milk is not
good enough" So-- don't know about buying up stock in
Martek....
