Hi all,
We have a question for hospital-based LC's with level 2 or 3 nursery. How do you have your hospitalized pumping mom's clean their tubing? We usually give them single sided tubing, instruct them to wash with soap and water after each use and receive a new set every 24 hrs.

We do have some hospital grade pumps for loan, so we also stock double-sided tubing for them. It seems to make sense, if we will be loaning a pump, to start them out double-pumping.
Do you wise members of this list feel that washing the parts that come in contact with the milk with soap and water while the moms are hospitalized is sufficient?

Question for those of you using the microwave bags for cleaning, do you have a separate
microwave used just for cleaning? We do use the microwave in our level 2 nursery to warm water for warming expressed milk for our babies.

Thanks in advance for your help.
