In reading the small text at the end of the statement (which I have never noticed before) I was wondering if the Breastfeeding policy statement of
1997 was ever reaffirmed, soon to be revised or retired. I would love to see it revised in an even better way, although just getting some of our
pediatricians in town to follow the 1997 gudielines would make me so very happy.

"All policy statements from the American Academy of Pediatrics automatically expire 5 years after publication unless reaffirmed, revised, or
retired at or before that time."

Just wondering.

Thanks ,

Cheryl Marian
