Just a quick note...for all of you who responded to my frustration note,
thank you...I wrote last week about the mom who had put much effort
during her pregnancy to planning for an intervention-free birth, which
she did have, but was having such soreness with her bf that she resorted
to pumped EBM and supplementing with ABM at a little under two weeks
postpartum. I had talked to her on the phone about lots of ways to deal
with this. Well, I never did get her to take her pump back but HOORAY,
she quit the ABM the day we talked and went back to the breast!!!! She
called me two days after that and told me that the pain was subsiding and
that she was actually starting to feel comfortable...she said the key was
getting that bottom lip untucked as we had discussed on the phone!
Anyway, her supply is down a bit, so we discussed ways to deal with
that...but she was motivated as can be!!! Funny...it would have felt
like a small victory when I was living in California, but it felt like a
HUGE MAJOR victory in our little town in Iowa...does that make sense?
Anyway, enough rambling on...appreciated your support, everybody!!!
