only anedotal i'm afraid.. but i've noticed two things... when i'm in the early weeks of post-partum and the early weeks of pregnancy i have an odor that is garlicky ... and not associated with garlic intake.. (as i'm a big garlic eater anyway). but also, i am dairy free (mostly) and i know that if i've had a lot of cheese at a dinner party or something my body odour is distinctly stronger the next day... my guess is that as breastmilk is modified sweat it would be normal for milk to take on odours in response to both dietary and hormonal changes of mother? but also as someone mentioned garlic powder is a key ingredient of processed foods (its so more-ish) so even eating flavoured chips/crisps, ready meals, and the like might produce the garlic smell perhaps... ?
