Pat,
You ask, "Can't you ask a local health store or pharmacy to stock it,
saying that you will be recommending it?" That doesn't work where I live.
The closest health food store is a half-hour drive one way, so one-hour round
trip. That's a long drive for a mom whose baby is not nursing well. And if you
add in perhaps she also has a toddler, and maybe baby *hates* car rides and
screams all the way, that trip becomes totally overwhelming and she won't go.
Besides that, I have tried ordering products for my daughter. They will order
one bottle at a time, even things I buy more than once, and I have to order
at least 2 weeks ahead if I am going to run out, because it can take up to that
long for them to get in what I need. A mom who is trying to obtain herbs for
a low milk supply is not able to wait 2 weeks to get what she needs. So I
carry several different products, explain the pros and cons of each, and let her
decide if she wants any and which one(s).
