I have heard this quite often. WOndr if it is a southern thing. My mother in law was told to express some milk into a jar in the MD office (while he watched-with this being a very conservative, very bashful woman) which the MD then held up to the window and said "you see how blue this milk is, it's blue john milk. You can't possibly feed your baby this, he'd starve!". I have heard several versions of this, but basically the same message--too weak or blue milk.
