Jon:  I haven't seen a response from Dr. Hale on depakote (valproic
acid), but his book states that it is secreted in small amounts, possibly
causing drowsiness (unlikely).  He adds that it is used in neonates for
seizures and that it is AAP compatible for breastfeeding.  Hope this
