Hi all,
I just had to chime in here. After reading all the warm posts regarding
Edwina,
I also have to agree with Nancy, that having met such a wonderful lady
certainly has
enhanced my life. Being a member of the La Leche League Board of Directors
has given me
the opportunity to meet such interesting and dedicated Founders. Edwina sat
next to me just this
past March at the Board meeting and it is hard to believe that such a
vibrant, elegant and "with it" 92 year old is no longer with us. She was
truly a Lady, and I remain in awe of her, and the others, who Thank G-d I
still get to share the Board table with.
We are all saddened and will remember her with such respect and love. Not to
mention her personal part in moulding many of our own lives and mothering
styles. I think it would be prudent to say that many of us would not be on
this forum if not for La Leche League.

Seems that today there will be an article in the New York Times about
Edwina, so keep on the lookout, those of you who
have access.

Have a peaceful and safe weekend!!
