Dear Nikki,

I'm sickned and outraged by how this story is turning out. This poor woman
is clearly living with monsters who have no concern about her or the baby's
wellbeing. She could qualify for asylum on humanitarian grounds. If she
goes back to India, unless she has a very supportive family, her life will
be very difficult. Her mother in law is not really protecting her.
Please contact the leaders of the Indian community in your city. They might
be able to direct you to organizations that work for abused women. In
georgia we have an organization like that http://www.raksha.org/. Please
contact me privately. I might be able to help.

Vaishali
