My 14 year old son (BF of course!) participated in the March of Dimes "Walk
America" on Sunday with a group from his middle school.

Local sponsors donated snacks, drinks, etc. Each walker received a free
"goody" bag with a mother/baby logo and in large letters: "Breastfeeding,
the Best Choice"!

 Most of the boys turned their bags inside out to hide that message, but,
my teenage son proudly carried his for the entire 6.2 milk walk! He used to
be embarrassed at my dinnertime (and sometimes public) proclamations about
the wonders of BF, however, he recently "thanked" me for BF him (and his
brother and sister) for so long! At 5'10" and 150 lbs of pure muscle and
rarely a sniffle, he gives much credit to extended BF:) (I have high hopes
he will convince his future wife of this!)

So, perhaps equating BF with healthier babies to today's teenagers will
result in large numbers of BF babies in the future! (not *too* soon please;
I've already told my kids college comes before marriage and marriage comes
before parenthood!)
