I have a mum with areola pain in her Left breast. Her baby is exclusively
breastfeeding and is now 2 months old. She struggled with sore nipples for a
few weeks and had just settled into enjoyable breastfeeeding when this
happened. She describes the pain as like a chill in the areola. It is worse
just before a feed and best just after a feed.
Mum wondered if the seam on her bra might be to blame but she has not worn
that bra for 3 days now with no difference in the pain.
There is nothing to see or feel, no redness or lumps, no sign of thrush.
Positioning is good. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
Thanks in advance.
