So many layers in this situation. I know from personal experience as my grandson had a very difficult time breastfeeding which took many weeks to resolve. I think I was less confident when the second grandchild was born.. whereas my daughter was less anxious. So not only does the mom need support, but her family may need some educating as well so that their personal biases or fears are not an influencing factor.
