I am not caught up on the day's Lactnet expression but will take a chance
and post on this.
Please note I do not advocate pacifier use.
One European manufacturer has included on its advertising materials and on
the insert with each pacifier that pacifier use may protect against SIDS (as
well as assisting suck training and promoting muscle development).

This same manufacturer has also pointed out that their design, with no bulky
handle on the back, is ideal when baby is lying prone.
I haven't checked this year to see what infuriating misinformation they are
using to push their product so don't know if it still is that bad. Stopped
reading out of concern for my own health.
