Sounds like she needs to get an ultrasound done and take a look at what is  
in the lump.  Cyst, galactolocele, fibroadenoma, infection, etc.  
 
I am going through this kind of problem myself and just got a biopsy done  
(good results) but the lump blocks my milk flow and causes constant plugged  
duct, mastitis, it's really annoying.  I have to "strip" that breast daily  which 
makes it pretty sore. 
 
but I made sure to rule out everything else out.  I don't like to take  
chances with lumps.  If you've tried all that stuff and it's still there,  get it 
checked out!  And make them do an ultrasound, not just your doc  telling you 
its "probably nothing".
