Hi all,
I need some information, preferably with medical text or
literature references.
Mom came to a LLL meeting this week. She has a 13 month old now
weaned baby and is due to give birth in Dec. Mom is Afro-American and
wears Muslim style dress. Her skin is not exposed to much sunlight.
In the past month her child was diagnosed with
rickets. The Dr. suggested that she not breastfeed the new baby
because of the risk of rickets for this child as well.
What can this woman due to avoid rickets in the new baby while
continuing to nurse?

TIA

Sarah
