I just wanted to add, for those who might be dealing with babies who
have latex allergies, that latex allergy is directly linked to banana
allergy. My mother and I both have anaphylactic reactions to banana
(don't even have to eat it, just be in the same room with an open one),
as well as pretty bad reactions to latex. I didn't know about the
connection until an allergist recently told me about it. So if you know
of a baby with a latex sensitivity, and you also give information about
good first foods for babies (of which banana is commonly used) you might
consider the latex/banana connection.
