I recently encountered a mum who is breastfeeding her 15 month old, had been
thinking of weaning, but due to his many allergies has decided to keep
bfing. however, she is very concerned about how much calcium would be in
her milk at this point - he does not nurse frequently. he is allergic to
dairy, soy, wheat, nuts but does eat broccoli (who has ever had a 15 month
old who eats broccoli, i haven't), i reassured her that her milk still had
lots of the same good stuff in it that it has always had. she has been
giving him calcium supplements. i have not been able to find anything
anywhere that discusses the calcium present in breastmilk at this stage. can
anyone help me out? thanks
